How will these changes affect me?

• Improved delivery speeds – Next day delivery on first class mail, within 2 working days after posting for second class sorted (3 days for unsorted) and Economy within 4 working days after day of posting (previously known as Mailsort 3). This gives you a much better idea of when your mail will be delivered.
  
  
• New Large Letter Specification – This is a new way of posting machine-readable large letters, including a polywrap option, for both sorted and unsorted mail.
  
  
• More flexibility as the minimum entry level on all sorted products is now 4000 letters or 1000 large letters.
  
  
• New prices – The new Royal Mail rates and changes to the way the mail is sorted (now known as High Sort and Low Sort) may affect the price slightly. The good news is they are no longer charging the ASBoF levy on Business Mail.

What do I need to do?

If you are currently doing any bulk mailings in-house, even if only low quantities then you should definitely get in touch with us for a quote. You may not realise that your mailing even qualifies for a postage discount but quite often the postage saving alone will cover the cost of us doing the mailing, so in effect you're getting a free mailing without any of the hassle or time of doing it yourselves! What is Business Mail?

Any bulk mailings that do not meet the requirements of Publishing Mail or Advertising Mail can still be sent Business Mail to achieve a discount on postage costs, such as bills or statements. Business Mail covers all the previous Mailsort, Walksort and Cleanmail services and also introduces a new service for machine-readable large letters.
